Maruti Suzuki Ritz By May In India

Maruti Suzuki plans to launch the Ritz to India and will compete with the existing cars like Skoda Fabia, Hyundai i20 and the upcoming cars like Honda Jazz and Fiat Grande Punto.
Maruti Suzuki Ritz will be equipped with 1.2-L petrol engine (KB Series) and 1.3-L multijet diesel engine.

Maruti plans to roll out three variants in India with two petrol engines and as a diesel engine option. The Maruti Ritz petrol variant will have two engine option which includes - 1000cc, 65bhp, 3-Cylinder engine and 1200cc, 86bhp, 4-Cylinder engine option. Maruti Suzuki Ritz diesel variant will get a 1.3-Litre, 75bhp, Multijet engine. All the models of Maruti Ritz will comply with Euro IV compliant. The company has already been launched in Europe in a different name as Wagon-R there.

Maruti Suzuki Ritz will be launched in India in the second week of May which will prove to its rivals as a standalone warrior in its class in terms of VFM (Value for Money), Fuel-Efficiency & Power.

Maruti Suzuki had first decided to launch as Splash but the name is already been acquired by some manufacturer so they had decided to change the name to Ritz. As the company wants a fight back against the rivals and wants to get the same response which got for A-Star after the launch of it Maruti Suzuki Ritz in India. The company is also planning to capture more market share in hatchback segment.

Maruti Suzuki Ritz is positioned above WagonR but closer to Swift and the car will be priced around Rs 4 to 5.5 Lakhs.

Maruti Ritz is a tall hatchback model that offers more head roof and more space inside the car. Maruti Suzuki Ritz will carry a bold, Stylish and sporty rear looks with an overall mannish look but it will be well suited for small families that has limited budget.

Maruti Ritz is not a descendant of any of the previous Maruti model, but its brand-new concept make it able to satisfy the customer’s needs in terms of space, compact, modern design, aerodynamics, quality, driveability, performance and environmental friendliness.
