LG's has some really funky technology to showcase. LG has something that we weren’t expecting – the world’s first transparent design phone, the LG-GD900. This phone is highly stylish phones.

The LG-GD900 is expected to make a new fashion statement and it can. When opened, its sliding, translucent keypad illuminates a cool glow that reflects the phone’s sleek and polished silver body.

It also tries to live up to the highest level of technical features expected in a premium caliber handset, including its dedicated Bluetooth headset. The specs have not however, been released just yet.

LG Arena hits one million sales mark

The LG Arena handset also known as the KM900 has crossed the one million sales mark in just five months. The Arena was officially unveiled in February at the Mobile World Congress. The LG-KM900 was launched in India in June.

The sales of the phone have rapidly increased after its commercial launch in April. Attaining this milestone in five months has put the sales of the Arena way ahead of the LG Viewty phone. The Viewty has crossed the eight million mark since its launch in October 2007.

LG KM900 Arena has got online pre order of 1 million as of date as per information. This shows that LG KM900 will perform very well and will surely be at par with the other success stories of LG like LG Chocolate, Viewty and Shine, whose sale crossed 1o million mark.

Its highlights include: a 3 inch WVGA touchscreen display, 3D S-Class UI, 8MP camera, GPS, Wi-Fi and 8GB of internal memory. It has a standard battery stand by time upto 300 hours and talk time upto 3 hours 50 minutes.  The phone does not have infrared port. The phone has bluetooth and USB port.

LG unveils the new LG Chocolate phone

LG Electronics officially announced the launch of the new LG Chocolate phone namely the LG-BL40 that is the fourth handset of the Black Label Series.

This phone boasts of a 4.0-inch wide screen HD LCD which is designed with curved tempered glass and is encased in a glossy black finish. It exhibits a pixel resolution of 800 x 345 for high-end viewing quality. The wide screen with aspect ratio 21:9 modifies it making it a class apart from other screen designs. Versa: New LG Phone with Detachable QWERTY

LG and Verizon Wireless has recently announced the creation of the Versa, which they claim to be a real MVP (Most Versatile Phone).

So what makes it so versatile? Well, the big feature is that it comes with a QWERTY keyboard that is detachable, with an LED screen on the back. So if you are comfortable texting without the keyboard, you can just leave it at home.

Without the QWERTY, the Versa also works as a full touchscreen, and has an animated 3D interface with three different home screens and three options of layouts. The web browser is a full HTML that supports Flash and RSS feeds, with three browser windows open at a time.

Other features include a 2 Megapixel camera with face detection, a music player, microSD memory port, Bluetooth, plus it is VZ Navigator capable. Another feature is the Chaperone program, which allows the LG Versa to have its location shared with family members via the Chaperone Web site.

Of course, a lot of phones have the features listed in the previous paragraph. The detachable QWERTY is probably going to sell the Versa the most. I have a suggestion of how to improve it: create a detachable QWERTY that is the size of a normal computer keyboard, and make it so it folds up. That would make the mobile computing experience a lot easier.

The LG Versa should be available at Verizon Wireless stores on March 1 for $199.99 after $50 mail in rebate.

LG launches GM310M, GM210 and GM205 Mobile Phones

LG Electronics announced the launch of their three new mobile phones, namely the GM310M, the GM210 and the GM205. The phones are aimed at customers who prefer a simple phone yet featuring smart specifications that can be used on a daily basis.

While the GM310M and GM210 are slider phones, the GM205 sports a candybar design.

On the specifications front, the GM310 carries a 2.2-inch TFT LCD display that offers a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels, a 3.5mm earphone socket, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP and a 3.0 megapixel autofocus camera.

Users can choose from 512MB and 1GB of internal memory options and one can expand the storage space further to 32 GB via the microSD card. Besides, it supports EDGE/GPRS and HSDPA connectivity.

LG gets SMART with W53 monitors

LG has decided to differentiate itself from the pack with its latest monitors by adding a number of intelligent features.

The new monitor range carries the name W53 SMART and come in widescreen format with 18.5 to 27 inch sizes available. Contrast ratios go up to 50,000:1 and response times are 2ms. Anything over 21.5 inches also sports 1920 x 1080 resolutions making them suitable for all tasks and capable in a line-up against competitors.
