Windows 7: The Newest version of Microsoft Windows

Windows 7 is the newest Operating System, released on 22 October 2009 by Microsoft Windows, for use on personal computers, including home and business desktops, laptops, netbooks, tablet PCs and media center PCs.

The Mac is the coolest OS and computer, and the Linux-based computers are expert-friendly and Windows-based computers are user-friendly but Windows computers get infected with spyware and malware and it is reason of headache of many people around the world. But still today, there are a huge number of users of Windows.

No matter where users intend utilizing Windows 7, it has something for everyone this to be more reliable, more responsive, and to make the things customers do every day easier, as its predecessor—Windows Vista—failed to win the hearts of consumers and was virtually shunned in the enterprise market. Complaints ranged from Vista's incompatibility with older software to its intrusive security measures and heavy horsepower requirements.

Windows 7 has a glassy look which has been inherited from Vista and apart from this, it has been added many more usability enhancements along with it. The UI features such as aero peek, desktop gadgets, aero shake, jump lists, themes and many more have been excellently embedded.

Windows 7 overcomes the drawback of Microsoft windows upgrade regarding the drivers with Device Stage which gives the flexibility to organize the pre-installed drivers.

It gives you flexibility to have specialized icons and pop-up menus with the help of which you can customize your devices like printer, pen drive, phone, camera etc.
The security feature of Windows 7 is much more powerful than Vista. The users are not allowed to access sensitive part of the programs as in Vista, but there is good balance and interaction in Windows 7 which makes the user feel more comfortable in accessing.

Networking was another issue in case of Vista, which is taken care in Windows 7 with the help of 'HomeGroup' which gets multiple PCs on network and allow users to share files by forming a group.

Now Windows 7 has come up with Windows Media Player 12 which has abilities to stream music and videos on the network. The device compatibility is still being upgraded and will be released with future service packs for Windows 7. Its 'Media Center' feature is most eye catching which has been enhanced from windows vista help. You can easily set up the cable card with Media center.

There are other cool features like the calculator making the mortgage payment calculations, Wi-Fi adapter for sharing the hot spot, cool graphics, and smart folder to arrange your libraries and many more.

What this device has to offer to users includes a camera that sports dual LED flash, video light, variable diaphragm and Carl Zeiss Tessar optics. Harry Potter - Books or Movies!

This is really an interesting topic!! I have always enjoyed books over the movies that are made from them. I feel like I have more opportunity to use my imagination and visualization as well as the advantage for authors to add much more detail and information.

Well, I’ve read the book, I’ve seen the movie too. That being said, there's very few movie adaptations through the years that have met my expectations, but the Harry Potter series have been an exception. But I like the books for better character development, subplots, etc, but enjoy the movies for the visual effects.

I read some of the books but I saw the movies. I was disappointed by how much they had to cut out, but I understand the need for trimming the subplots... not that I would be opposed to watching a 5-6 hour Harry Potter movie.

But sometimes, I think the Harry Potter movies have stuck by the books as close as possible. Obviously, due to time restrictions, certain sub-plots have been cut out, but overall the movies are a pretty accurate reflection of the books. From what I've heard, Half-Blood Prince does remain fairly close to the book. How sweet would it be to be JK Rowling? The films alone have grossed over $4 billion, and that number will probably exceed $5 billion by the time Half-Blood Prince is done.

That's in addition to the theme park, books, and merchandise. (And I'm sure eventually a kids cartoon show involving Hogwarts in some way, shape or form).. I wonder how the Harry Potter franchise compares to the Star Wars franchise in terms of overall money generated? It'd be an interesting statistic.

I admit that I haven't read the "Harry Potter" books, except for the first 50 pages of the first so I could see what the fuss was about. But I have seen all the movies, including "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince," which opens July 15.

So I'd like to generate some informed discussion about whether the movies reflect well on the books, and which of the formats you prefer.

The books have gotten quite long, so obviously some scenes and even characters have been omitted or changed. (The seventh book will become two separate movies.)

My last point to make is that the book is more descriptive. Two words describe Harry well, impatient and angry. There are countless times when Harry is too frustrated to concentrate on school work or Quidditch, which is like a wizard soccer game. The movie, however, seems it fit that he is suppose to be a patient, kind-to-everyone person. Further more, Professor Snape, Harrys potion teacher, is suppose to be really ugly in the book. The sport is completely gone from the film. In the book, Harry is back on the team and this time, Ron is on it too. This is a big deal and comes into play in their relationship. Ron is a good player, but he messes up a lot when he’s nervous. Some of his disastrous moments prompt the other teams to mock him with chants of “Weasley is our King.”

At the end, I would just say that the books are more enjoyable than a movie, this is what I felt. Many things you will see missing in the films. I think the books are more preferable than a movie as it describes things very well.

iPod Touch 3G to come with a camera?

After a rumor back in May stating that the iPod Touch 3G may come equipped with a camera, we haven’t heard much about it. And now, Slashgear reports that an online store called Uxsight has put up a silicon skin case for the iPod Touch 3G that displays a large cut-out on the top.

It is speculated that the cut-out has been put there to accommodate the camera of the third generation iPod Touch. Reportedly, there were also rumors which stated that Apple had placed orders for 3.2 and 5megapixel camera units.

Now, a camera in the iPod touch would certainly fit in with previous rumors we’ve heard. Back in April, Apple were tipped to have placed orders for a number of new camera modules, including 3.2 and 5-megapixel units.

It’s not unusual for new iPod models to be tipped by online case merchants “accidentally” advertising new lines; however it’s also an easy matter for those merchants to attempt to drum up visitors by listing fake items. With Apple’s usual routine being new iPods every September, we’ve a couple of months – hopefully leak-filled months – before we find out whether the third-generation iPod touch has a camera of its own.
