This phone is the new addition to Alltel’s range of handsets. This model is said to be perfect for customers looking out for both style as well as functionality. It will be available through Alltel from May.

The smartphone allows users to view messages and calls on its high-resolution external display. The 240×320 pixel internal LCD screen displays call information, messages, pictures and videos with crystal clear detail and contrast.

Alltel has announced that the Blackberry Pearl Flip 8230 handset will be available on its network starting in early May. The handset is a full Blackberry smartphone with the clamshell style and a SureType QWERTY keyboard underneath.

The phone features a 2MP camera that can record video and a full HTML web browser. Memory is expandable with microSD cards up to 16GB.

According to Alltel Wireless, the new BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8230 smartphone will be available for$79.99, after a $70 mail-in rebate, and upon the signing of a two-year contract agreement with the carrier on a qualifying Smart Choice Pack, which starts at as little as $69.99 per month and includes unlimited data, email and Web access. In addition, the mobile phone operator offers the BlackBerry Curve 8330 for $49.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate, while the BlackBerry Pearl 8130 is free also after a $100 mail-in rebate.
