Samsung has announced the launch of the S9110 watchphone. This watchphone resembles a wrist watch and includes all the functionalities of a mobile phone. The S9110 is what Samsung claims to be the thinnest watch phone on the market, at 11.98mm (.47in). The company credits its advanced surface mounting technology for this achievement.
The design of this device is quite similar to the LG GD910 watchphone. The S9110 features 1.8-inch touchscreen and measures 12mm in thickness. The dual-band GSM technology enables it to send and receive emails. The watchphone also incorporates a music player that assists in playing all the multimedia files and weighs only 91g. Measuring 58mm x 41mm in size, it supports voice calling and Bluetooth 2.1.
The S9110 measures 57.5mm x 41.1mm x 11.98mm (2.3in x 1.6in x .47in) in size and weighs 91g (3.2oz). This dual-band (900/1800MHz) GSM/GPRS phone is designed to operate in Europe, and will be sold in France later this month for roughly 450 EUR.
