BlackBerry Tour now available via Sprint and Verizon


After numerous rumors, leaks and plans, the BlackBerry Tour is finally up for sale, reports Engadget.

Some of the specifications of the Tour are 2.4-inch color, TFT LCD display with resolution of 480 x 360 pixels, pre-installed 2GB microSD card expandable up to 16GB, backlit QWERTY and Trackball navigation. This 4.4” (h) x 2.4” (w) x .6” (d) phone weighs 4.58 oz and incorporates 256MB internal flash memory and 500mA AC power adapter.

The new BlackBerry handset uses 256MB Flash memory, 256MB RAM (if the Verizon site is not mistaking), a full QWERTY keyboard and a microSD card slot with support for cards of up to 16GB.

Tour comes with the classic Bold design, but it’s a smaller device and it features a landscape display with a 480 x 340 pixel display. There’s also a trackball controller on board plus worldwide roaming support (quad band GSM/EDGE and UMTS 3G have been added on top of EV-DO 3G CDMA).
